You don’t have to homeschool alone.

If social media is too loud, but you still want some online encouragement, this blog is where weary mothers can come and be encouraged as I share my own journey – the beautiful parts and the hard parts. The year 2026 will begin our ninth year homeschooling – and I am still learning. Come learn with me.

Favourite Blogs

I’m seeking to be less on social media and gather information, grow in my knowledge of homeschooling, and meet other homeschool mothers through old-fashioned blogs! There are still so many active + amazing blogging mothers out there on this homeschool journey. Here are blogs that I follow + glean wisdom from:

Cultivating Delight – My long-time blog friend, Jenni, is a kindred spirit. We homeschool in a very similar manner.

Rachael Alsbury – I have followed Rachael for so many years and have always found her thoughts on routines and unschooling so helpful.

Silo + Sage – This mama is so encouraging – and she is a boy mama too! I always feel like I could sit and have a cuppa with her in real life. She has lots of resources, too.

This New Day – If you are a living books homeschooling family, this mama is a great resource to find out about good books and recommendations.

Cooking Up Adventures – Pauline is a wonderful voice for Christian unschooling/lifeschooling. I highly recommend reading all her posts!

Stories of an Unschooling Family – If you want to be challenged in your understanding of education, and more deeply, parenting, Sue is your lady. She is very soothing and gentle, yet challenging.

Lifeschooling – The best place to get a deeper grasp on what lifeschooling is from a Christian perspective.

Wonder + Wildness – A veteran mama I have poured over from the beginning. So rich and encouraging, especially on Charlotte Mason habits and homeschooling with boys.

Cloistered Away – She doesn’t post regularly anymore, but maintains the site, and I highly recommend you pursue her articles – it is full of wisdom and experience. And it just feels so peaceful being there.

I’m Sarah.
